Release Blitz Review: Heat for Sale by Blake Moreno

Heat for Sale
by Blake Moreno, Leta Blake
Genre: M/M Romance, Omegaverse
Release Date: October 18, 2018

Heat can be sold but love is earned.

In a world where omegas sell their heats for profit, Adrien is a university student in need of funding. With no family to fall back on, he reluctantly allows the university's matcher to offer his virgin heat for auction online. Anxious, but aware this is the reality of life for all omegas, Adrien hopes whoever wins his heat will be kind.

Heath—a wealthy, older alpha—is rocked by the young man's resemblance to his dead lover, Nathan. When Heath discovers Adrien is Nathan’s lost son from his first heat years before they met, he becomes obsessed with the idea of reclaiming a piece of Nathan.

Heath buys Adrien’s heat with only one motivation: to impregnate Adrien, claim the child, and move on. But their undeniable passion shocks him. Adrien doesn't know what to make of the handsome, mysterious stranger he's pledged his body to, but he’s soon swept away in the heat of the moment and surrenders to Heath entirely.

Once Adrien is pregnant, Heath secrets him away to his immense and secluded home. As the birth draws near, Heath grows to love Adrien for the man he is, not just for his connection to Nathan. Unaware of Heath's past with his omega parent and coming to depend on him heart and soul, Adrien begins to fall as well.

But as their love blossoms, Nathan's shadow looms. Can Heath keep his new love and the child they've made together once Adrien discovers his secrets?

Heat for Sale is a stand-alone m/m romance by Leta Blake, writing as Blake Moreno. Infused with a du Maurier Rebecca-style secret, it features a well-realized omegaverse, an age-gap, dominance and submission, heats, knotting, and scorching sex scenes.

Yay! I finally finished my first mpreg book. I tried one or two previously but all ended up DNF as the story just doesn't engage me, not because I don't like the idea of mpreg. I like that the tone of this book is abit more serious, not just a fluff piece that doesn't take itself seriously.

Heat for Sale depicted a world whereby omega sell their heat and Adrien find the whole experience humiliating because he was raised by a conservative father. But without much choice, he reluctantly auction himself and met with the enigmatic Heath.

First of all, in the beginning I find the whole situation kinda bizarre with the university essentially acting as an official pimp. The idea Heath want to breed with Andrien is because he is Heath's dead lover son. Another totally bizarre situation. If this is a contemporary romance, he should just get Adrien under his wing and provide for him, not fuck him. Anyway, I went in knowing what will happen.

My first impression on Heath isn't that good. He came across like such an alphahole, but I tell myself, I need to at least read the knotting scene. I was told it was the best part of mpreg story. So I'm glad I continue because the knotting is such a seriously hot scene like really really HAWT and right after their first sexual encounter, Heath had a change of heart and decided to treat Adrien better, which I'm totally onboard.

Adrien is very innocent and inexperience and appeared submissive, but this isn't a full on D/s relationship apart from some bossy attitude coming from Heath. I enjoyed the entirety of Adrien's journey from the heat right up to him being with his child. I finally get why some people are into mpreg because it was a very heartwarming read. So Heath kept the secret about Adrien's identity and as expected drama ensued towards the end. Even though Heath did grovel, I still think Adrien's give in too easily. I would have make him crawl on glass and beg.
