People are complex.
Love a double-edged sword.
And when it comes to a broken heart, there are no rules, only time…

For the past eight years, Julien Thornton has been living with a secret. One that only a handful of people know about.

To the outside world, he has it all.
A thriving career. A loving husband. And a face that the American public fell for by the millions, on a reality show that inadvertently saved his life.

But behind the shine of celebrity, behind the easygoing nature, a crippling truth fills Julien with pain and self-loathing. It’s a truth that he fights to overcome daily with the help of his husband, Joel Priestley, and now their boyfriend, Robbie Bianchi.

But unlike Priest, Robbie doesn’t know what he’s helping Julien to fight. He doesn’t know what Julien did all those years ago. And with the anniversary of his sister’s death fast approaching, the time for explanations is running out.

And thus the question: will the princess be able to forgive the prick as the priest once did?

Only time will tell.

This is a much anticipated follow up for Robbie's book, which is my first ever m/m/m read. While the previous book totally sold me the threesome relationship with much excitement for the uncharted territory, the follow up is a bit mellow. They still very much heating up every scene together, but the overall plot was a bit slow moving. We know Julien and Priest each have a difficult past, but the gist of the story only reveal towards the end.

Present day, Julien is haunted by a past tragedy and Priest tried his best to be the supportive husband. But it was Robbie, their princess, who manage to bring some sunshine and sparkle to counter their misery. I finally realized why they need Robbie in their life and how he is the missing piece of their puzzle. Robbie just fit seamlessly into their life and they are so open and genuine with each other. Their relationship is something beautiful to behold, even though no many people will understand it.

I feel that the plot only picked up the pace at around 65%. That's the point whereby I breeze through the book without putting it down. It managed to end on a high note with much anticipation on what danger will befall three of them. I hope the final book will bring forth much excitement and keep the momentum going from beginning till the end.
