My FallenCon agenda is simple: sit on a couple of panels and let people meet the real me. Jesse Garvy—mod of a famous Twitch channel and, if I ever come out of my shell, future vlogger. I definitely didn’t plan to sleep with a moody tattooed fan-artist, but he’s gorgeous and can’t keep his hands off me. There's a first time for everything, and my first time with a guy turns out to be the hottest experience of my life.

But the next day, I find out my moody fan-artist is Ian Larsen AKA Cherry—someone I've known online for years. And he'd known exactly who I was while shoving me up against that wall. Before I figure out whether to be pissed or flattered, the con ends.

Now we're back online, and he's acting like nothing happened. But despite the distance between us, and the way he clings to the safety of his online persona, we made a real connection that night. I don't plan to let him forget.

Although I'm not a gamer (I never even play Candy Crush on my phone before), I absolutely adore this series that revolves around geeky, dorky gaymer and their online persona. In real life, I would never support someone to actually give up their day job to be a Youtuber, but in fiction world, apparently I'm wholeheartedly okay with Jesse moving to LA and starting his own channel. What the actual f***? Does the career can even last for more than a few years? Anyway, this is fiction and I manage to just roll along with it and enjoy myself.

Jesse Garvy is one of Kai's mod that we got to know previously. He is a surfer dude from Santa Cruz and he thinks he is a total loser. He got a parent who like to leech off him, which make him unable to move forward in his life. Coming from an Asian perspective, giving our parents money is a way of life. So I guess I'm not as bothered by this as Jesse.

Ian aka Cherrycake is Jesse co-mod for Kai's channel. Ian had multiple persona online, Cerise who is the emo punk artist who is a total slut and Cherrycake the mod who everyone thought is a bubble girl. When Ian end up in FallenCon and meeting Jesse in person, Ian is force to reconcile the fact that his multiple personas might crash and burn.

Woah! This is quite angsty compare to the previous two books because Ian had a lot of issue, his anxiety and vulnerability and his tendency to hide behind his online persona as Cherise instead of facing the world as himself. But I was not bothered by the drama because Jesse was awesome in accepting and understanding Ian. Jesse might not 100% get what is happening in Ian's head, but he is willing to take a risk and fight for their future.

Both Jesse and Ian are the underdogs in the story. They have low self-worth about themselves, but they are great in supporting each other. They see only the best and positive side of their partners. Jesse thinks Ian is awesomely talented as an artist and Ian thinks Jesse had the charisma to have a successful channel. They have a lot of hiccups along the way and things might not always be pretty. But I gave it to Megan and Santino, they know how to melt my heart with a sweet and dorky ending. Looking forward to Beau and Zander's story. They are gonna be a riot!
