Review: Unblocked - Episode One by Marni Mann

Unblocked - Episode One
Timber Towers #1
by Marni Mann

One taste was all it took...
Derek Block seeks revenge.
Frankie Jordan seeks professional dominance.
He wants her, she wants him.
Lines that can't cross begin to blur.
This is Episode One of the five-episode Timber Towers novella series.

(3 stars)

I have to give it to the author for her ability to make real estate sounds so goddamn sexy with phrases like,

If this lobby was a woman's body, he was taking his time with her, caressing her neck, kissing down her navel, licking between her legs.

When it comes to architecture, I crave texture, scent, a visual flavor so unique it makes my mouth water.

I have a burning question though, why did she named her female characters with such masculine names, such as Frankie and Hayden. I have to keep reminding myself, they are pussy, they are pussy.

The erotic dreams that the heroine had been having makes me feel as if I'm reading a PNR book with some great outer force trying to invade her mind. It just baffled me how realistic her dreams can be.

The connection between the hero and heroine are simply bogged down to too much prehormones and lust swirling around the air. Although I don't see any depth in their characters yet, I'm definitely on the bandwagon of can't-wait-to-see-them-rip-each-other-clothes-off.
