Review: Silas ( West Bend Saints #2 ) by Sabrina Paige

Silas by Sabrina Paige

Call me Robin Hood.
I’m a grifter. A con artist.
I don’t steal from the rich. I take from the worst of the worst, the people who deserve to be hustled.
I have two rules - keep moving and never fall in love.
I only ever thought about breaking them for one boy. And that boy just walked right back into my life, a ghost from the past. Silas Saint.
Now he’s a man. Arrogant and sexy as f**k, he’s sure as hell not the person I fell in love with, a lifetime ago.
But when he touches me, it’s enough to make me forget my own name. He makes me want to break all my rules.

I’ve been fighting as long as I could remember. Sh**, I think I came out of the womb swinging. I even tried to go legit until trouble sent me out of Las Vegas and back to West Bend.
I never expected a different kind of trouble to come waltzing back into my life, all curves and tattoos and sass. Tempest Wilde.
Any idea what “tempest” means? A violent f**cking windstorm. That’s s**t I don’t need.
I loved her once, a lifetime ago. Before I knew better.
Love is for suckers, and I’m sure as hell not a sucker.
But the way she looks at me? It makes me want to give her everything I have.

I'm had a hard time deciding whether I like Elias or Silas more. Sabrina Paige do has some great talent in writing easy to read smutt story with really likable characters.

When I first met Silas in previous book, I thought he was the bad twin, the rule breaker, the heartbreaker. So color me surprised when I found out he was pining after his first love, who unfortunately is a con artist.

Tempest met Silas when they were 17, she was brought up to follow her parent footstep as con artist. When she up and left West Bend with her family, she stole away Silas heart.

Now 7 years later, Silas came across Tempest in Vegas during his fight and all their old feelings for each other resurface. So much had change over the years, Tempest is still running her scam, but for a better cause and Silas is trying to convince Tempest to place down her roots.

There were a bunch of colorful characters in Tempest's crew. I specifically intrigued with Iver. He had such a James Bond persona, all polish and suave. I honestly don't mind if Sabrina skip the other Saint brothers story and write one for Iver instead.

I read this series for the uncomplicated smutt and having a side mystery is just an icing on the cake. The little mystery surrounding the Saint family is still not solve and I don't feel like the author put much effort into making it a big deal. There is definitely a lot of loose end everywhere, but I don't mind it one bit. I need to find out when the next one is coming out. I wonder who is Luke's mystery girl.
