Review: Tall, Tatted and Tempting ( The Reed Brothers #1 ) by Tammy Falkner

Tall, Tatted and Tempting by Tammy Falkner

She’s locked up tight. But he might be the key.

Logan Reed is tall, tatted and tempting.
Kit’s a woman with a mean right hook and a secret.

Kit wants a tattoo, but Logan sees more than she intends to share in the drawing of the tat she wants. He sees her in ways no one ever has.

Logan’s not disabled; but he hasn’t spoken in eight years. He hasn’t needed to.
Until he meets Kit.

Logan doesn’t know everything about Kit. Kit doesn’t know anything about herself,
until she has to sacrifice all she ever wanted to save what’s most important to him.

Tall, Tatted and Tempting is a heart warming story of Logan Reed, a deaf tattoo artist who fall for the homeless busker, Kit. There is two version in my Kindle copy, one sexy version and another sexy-lite version.

Logan worked with his brother in their own tattoo parlor and he had been deaf since 13. Due to his disability, he had stopped talking altogether and just communicate via sign language.

Kit was a troubled young woman who was running away and trying to keep herself anonymous. She was penniless and worked to get food and shelter by busking away at the New York subway.

After getting punched in the nose for wrongly assuming the girl who came in wanted to get laid, instead of getting a tattoo, Logan seek out Kit near the subway to apologize for his jerk behavior. He also found that the tattoo design she drew captivated him on an emotional level. He felt her inner turmoil and wanted to know her better.

After having a dinner with her and finding out she was homeless, he finally persuaded her to come home with him. Kit was initially wary, but seeing there isn't any less dangerous choice left for her, she decided to follow Logan home. Logan turned out to be a total gentleman, much to her surprised. He didn't expect anything from her and is just a genuinely nice guy.

We also met the four other Reeds brother who stayed under the same roof. There is Matt who suffered from cancer, and the trouble twins, Pete and Shane. I love all of them and especially big brother, Paul who had a 3 year old daughter. I went and stalked for the other books in the series and was disappointed that Paul's book is still no where in sight. Bummer.

Kit strike up a close friendship with the Reed brothers and her relationship with Logan was closer than ever as the days went by. However, due to her inability to share her past and even her real name with Logan, he decided not to pursue a sexual relationship with her despite they both admit to their mutual attraction. There was just so much sexual tension going on there and I find it unbelievable that Logan was unmovable by his own principles.

When something happened to one of the brother and Kit might just have to only solution to their problem, she was force to face her past and the cost would be to give up her love.

"And I felt like maybe, just maybe, we were each other locked in our own little worlds and we could let each other out."

There wasn't an awful cliffhanger, but obviously there was story to tell before Logan and Kit get their HEA. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series and getting to know more about the Reed's brothers.
