Review: Otherwise Alone ( Evan Arden Trilogy #1 ) by Shay Savage

Otherwise Alone by Shay Savage

Lieutenant Evan Arden sits in a shack in the middle of nowhere, waiting for orders that will send him back home - if he ever gets them. Other than his loyal Great Pyrenees, there's no one around to break up the monotony. The tedium is excruciating, but it is suddenly interrupted when a young woman stumbles up his path.

He has two choices - pick her off from a distance with his trusty sniper-rifle, or dare let her approach his cabin and enter his life.

Why not? It's been ages, and he is otherwise alone...

With only 56 pages, the blurb pretty much sums up the entire novella's. I'm a dog person, so naturally I love Odin right away. Whenever I read erotic novella or premise whereby two complete strangers having casual sex upon their first meeting and the author tried to play the instant connection card, it usually felt forced. I tried not to roll my eyes and just follow the flow. But Otherwise Alone managed to make me instantly connected to Evan and I like Lia as well. I'm not sure whether is because of the male's POV or Shay Savage, but I'm definitely intrigued and can't wait to read the rest of the story.
